Why and when did you get into fitness/nutrition?
I have been working out for years but never really found a place that quite worked for me and my goals until I joined this gym 5 years ago. I had belonged to a 24-hour gym since 2011 and my best friend and I made up our own workouts and did our best but never really got the results we were looking for. Since joining this gym, I have reached SO many of my personal goals and learned I am capable of a lot harder things than I originally thought all those years ago! Don’t ever be afraid of stepping out of your comfort zone, I did it and I am so grateful for it!
I got into nutrition coaching because throughout my entire life, I have been an emotional eater. As a child and into adulthood, I battled hard with it. When my dad passed away almost 5 years ago, I hit bottom and started trying to dig my way out. I tried various diets, did Whole 30 numerous times, and realized that my personal experiences could help others beat their battle with food also. So, I decided to become a Nutrition Coach and it’s definitely been a very rewarding thing for me. I love to see people learn to love themselves and have balance in their lives. Food and nutrition is the hardest part for a lot of people in being healthy and fit. It brings me so much joy to help people become confident in themselves through my coaching.
What is your coaching philosophy?
I want people to feel the difference a good workout can make! Moving your body does so much for you mind and physical body. I want everyone to enjoy the classes I teach (or will be teaching) and learn they can do hard things too!
What’s your favorite food?
Mexican! Yum!!
What’s your favorite exercise/movement?
Snatches are my favorite lift, but honestly, I don’t really hate anything! I love to get that heartrate up and work!
Fun Fact!
I love to read books and invest in myself. You are never to old to improve yourself and be a better person. I read 10 pages of a non-fiction book daily so I can continue to grow myself in new ways.
